Biography

Mr Hollis Walker is an outboard technician who owns and operates Walker’s Marine Services. With just about twenty years’ experience in the field, he goes beyond simply the repair of engines. He guides boat owners on how to care for their vessels and machines. He also teaches them simple fixes in case they come into difficulty while at sea. Some locals have come to refer to him as the “boat doctor”. Mr Walker is a marine conservationist and as a game fisherman himself, ever so often fishing commercially, he has a keen understanding of the all-round life and needs of a fisherman. Mr Walker also tutors the Small Boat Engine Repair Class held by the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport.
