Biography

Deonecio Betancourt Salazar holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Tobago Agribusiness Development Company (TADCO) and has a vocational history that spans the Financial, Retail, Manufacturing and Real Estate Sectors. Mr. Salazar possesses professional experience within the financial sector coupled with academic and professional accreditation. Mr. Salazar obtained his Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) degree from the University of the West Indies in Management with minors in Finance and Economics and a Masters in Sustainable Energy Management (SEM) from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. Mr. Salazar is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Mr. Salazar has attended several certificate programs hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank in project management and lending principles and UWI-ROYTEC in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT). Critical to Mr. Salazar’s employment history at TADCO is his experience at the Agricultural Development Bank in the position of Branch Manager.
